Complete Ámúu Body Protocol for Clients

When clients visit your spa for a holistic facial they expect to leave with a fresh glow but

also feeling serene and re-connected. This is our goal as well. We believe skin care is more

than simply applying products, it's a ritual and a sensory experience for every client.

In this post you will find a complete (basic) protocol for using Ámúu Body's

facial care collection:

Step One: Cleanse

Hemp + Eucalyptus Oil Cleanser

(A fresh and invigorating clean)

Apply a small amount of cleanser into palms. Massage onto damp skin with fingertips in a circular motion. Rinse. This product is great for all skin types ranging from dry sensitive to oily. The oils used in our formulation are low comedogenic and mimic the skin’s natural oil production. This formulation will balance oil production as well as moisturize dry skin leaving the skin feeling supple and clean.

Step Two: Mist

Rosewater + Gardenia Hydrating Mist

(soft, light and fragrant)

This mist can be applied with mister cap or with a cotton round. Apply to skin,  do not rinse.

Our natural formulation creates a humectant layer over the skin to hydrate and lock moisture/hydration within in the skin. Great for all skin types especially dry, mature or damaged.

Note: Especially helpful for wind burn from outdoor winter activities!

Step Three: Exfoliate

Coconut Super Fruit Facial Polish (Vitamin C Brightening Polish)

(soft coconut notes)

This powder-based polish mixes well with warm water or a splash of hydrating mist. For a deeper exfoliation add less water. Apply (brush) a thin layer over entire face and neck, avoiding the eye area. Massage with fingertips in a circular motion, making sure the polish doesn’t dry. Rinse/ wipe away with a warm towel. Suitable for all skin types including sensitive.

Step Four: Mask

Sacred Red Clay Mask

(unscented)

For all skin types looking to purify pores and naturally increase collagen production.

Mix clay with warm water until desired consistency occurs. A thicker mask will provide a cooling effect. Brush onto face area, avoiding eye and mouth area. Allow to dry on skin. Remove with wet (dark colored) wash cloth or small cotton rounds. Several rinses may be required.

Note: This clay increases circulation and is a great healing option for acne scars.

Step Five: Moisturize (Mature Skin)

Wolfberry Eye Balm

(unscented, smooth, warming)

Suitable for sensitive, mature skin this unscented eye balm moisturizes and tightens the delicate skin around the eyes. Warm a pea sized amount between fingertips and apply around eye area starting from outer corners to undereye and around orbital bone.

Step Six: Moisturize (All Skin Types + Mature Skin)

Renewing Face Oil

(grounding, woody, nutty, floral)

Apply 5-6 drops (as needed) to palms, apply in a gentle massage and tapping motion over entire face and neck area, avoiding the eye area. This oil is infused with antioxidants and omega fatty acids to moisturize skin, and reduce the appearance of fine lines. For acne prone skin it creates an antibacterial barrier to protect and heal the skin.

Note: If you are adding a facial reflexology service include it in this step to prevent minor skin tearing.
